HEROES BALL 2018
On Saturday, April 7, 2018, nearly 700 guests stepped through the door into a secret garden for this year’s Heroes Ball benefiting the St. Joseph’s Children’s Chronic Complex Clinic to honor Daniel J. Plasencia, MD, FAAP, the founder of the Clinic and medical director of St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital as our Community Hero. It was announced during the celebration that the Clinic would be named for Dr. Plasencia in recognition of his devotion to children in our community. Thank you to our generous sponsors and guests who helped us to raise a record-breaking $450,000. Not only did we celebrate the accomplishments of Dr. Plasencia and his dedicated team, but also cultivated a lasting impression of the innovative care at the Chronic Complex Clinic. Heroes Ball Chairs, Hinks and Elaine Shimberg and Kasey Shimberg Kelly, and Honorary Chair Tino Martinez helped make this event one to remember. Thank you to all for joining us for this special event, and for your ongoing commitment to caring for our children.
