Create a Fundraising Event
Your donations make it possible for St. Joseph’s to give our young patients the special attention and added comfort that is just as important to their healing as our extraordinary medical care.
Below are some ideas to inspire your philanthropic initiatives. To create your own fundraising event, contact us.
Challenge Your Co-Workers
Part of a corporation? Challenge your branch or department to a friendly competition to see whose team does the best on your personalized fundraising page.
Matching gifts: Does your company match gifts? Ask your company's human resources or finance department about corporate matching gifts, a great way to double your gift potential.
Inspire Your Social Media Friends and Family
Birthday Fundraiser: Take your birthday party virtual by creating a birthday fundraiser through Facebook in lieu of gifts. Set up your fundraiser through our website to be able to share your special day with St. Joe’s kids.
Wedding Gifts: In lieu of gifts, which you probably already have, ask your guests to donate to St. Joe’s Kids to make your memorable day a special day to bring smiles to children’s faces.

Be Creative and Get Social
Car Wash: Ask neighbors to park their car in your driveway or take your car wash supplies on the go! Walk to your neighbor’s house and wash their car for a small donation. They can pay through your fundraising page.
Movie Night: Get the popcorn ready! Come together with family or friends for a movie night. Ask each movie viewer to donate what they’d normally spend on a movie ticket (or more) to support the patients and families at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital.
Paint night: Jump on the latest craze and organize a paint night with friends! Many studios will partner with you and donate a portion of the class fee.
Host a Dinner Party: Whether a casual BBQ or an elegant, seated dinner, create a theme and ask your guests to make a donation for St. Joe’s Kids. Want to make a little extra? Consider having a raffle or auction.
Host a Prom or Homecoming: Invite your friends to a backyard Prom. Pick a creative theme, charge an entry fee and have a blast! Don’t forget to pick your prom king and queen.
Be Actively Engaged
Ball games: Round up your friends and encourage them to create sports teams for a baseball, soccer, flag football or kick ball tournament. Charge a registration fee for each player or for a team.
Fitness class: Host a socially distanced spin, yoga or boot camp class at a local studio or virtual. Charge a participant fee and ask the instructor to donate their time to teach the class.
Race: Host an in-person or virtual 5K, bike or walk. Charge a registration fee and donate the proceeds.
Tournament: Host a golf or fishing tournament and charge a fee for participating foursomes. Reach out to local businesses you know and invite them to be your corporate sponsors.
Team events: Form a rock climbing, fitness, weight loss, or rowing team to train together and fundraise for St. Joe’s Kids.
Let Kids Be Kids
Sock Contest: Have kids design their own funky, Christmas-themed socks. Charge a fee to enter them in a contest. Split the prize between the best sock winner and St. Joe's Kids.
Art show: Ask students to create a piece of art to "sell" at an art show.
Lemonade Stand: A true classic! Host a stand in your neighborhood or at a school sports game.
Talent Show: Show off student—and even staff and parent—talent! Charge at the door and sell tickets in advance.
